Microwave loud umm and electric smell no heat, with multi tester set to 2000K. reading from case to a spade, prong thing is -0000. When the prongs from the multi tester are not even touching completele seperated and not touching eachother, I get 1 which is infiniti I guess. When the mulit tester is set to 200 on the ohms setting same section the 2000K is , I get .5 If I unplug the magnetron I get less of a hummm, and no electric smell. When I check the Capacitor on 2000K I get a high reading like 1500 then it drops down to infiniti. Case to a spade on the capacitor is infinite. multi tester on 2000K testing the diod I get I get about 500 or 600 both ways. Next step I am going to take the magnetron off and look at it for burn or crack marks. I think I might have a bad magnetron and a bad diod, what do you guys think??? If I do have a bad magnetron or diod or both, would it be possible that thes bad items could have broke the transformer, or does the normall buzzing sound that it has always made like when the Magnetron is unpluged good enough to say it works. I do not think I can use a regular multi tester to test the transformer… I will look at the magnetron and tell if it is burnt or cracked.
