I need help troubleshooting a problem with my washing machine. I get an LF code because it’s not filling up with water in a timely manner but I don’t think it’s due to clogs in the hoses or filters because when the water does flow in, the water flow is fine and is no different from when we first got the washing machine.
Basically at the beginning of a wash cycle or when the washer is filling up with water for the rinse cycle, it will hum for anywhere from 3-10 minutes until it finally timeouts with an LF code. If I either open the lid, shut it and press start, or if I just press start twice, it will hum again for 3-10 minutes and give me an LF code. After non-consistent amount of times that this happens, and I repeat this steps, water will start flowing through as if there were never any problems.
This is why I don’t think there is a clog in the filters or problems with the hoses because if there was, wouldn’t water trickle through the entire time? Or with this model, does water flow in from different areas since it does let water flow through the detergent area before the detergent flows into the machine, and this may be where water is being restricted?
This has been going on for over 6 months now. It has not gotten any better or worse. We’ve tried different suggestions we found online for resetting things, etc. I’m just getting tired of taking anywhere from 10-30 minutes extra to wash a load of laundry when I have a family and many loads to wash every week. And yes, I have run the ‘cleaning’ mode regularly and it doesn’t make a difference.
If anyone has any suggestions on parts I can attempt to replace before I buy a new machine, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
