I have a GE refrigerator with a top mount freezer, model # TBX25PABRRWW and my ice maker went bad. At first I was told that it was the water valve so I bought a new one and that didn’t work. There’s water flowing to the valve. Now I’m being told it’s the ice maker, model WR30X0327 that according to GE is replaced with model WR30X10093. I took the ice maker out and after replacing the valve I put it back and when I thought it was bad I went to take it out and it looked like it wasn’t plugged into the ice maker receptacle because it had fallen back through the hold in the back of the freezer. I tried pulling it through with a pair of needle nose pliers and it shorted out. My fault.
Here’s my question:
What’s involved with replacing the ice maker receptacle? I don’t know if it comes with installation instructions.
Thanks in advance.
