Hello - I just bought a used Kenmore gas range - model 790.79379400. Our cooktop works perfectly, but the oven is not working. I have checked to see whether the ignitors are glowing - both the bake and broil ignitors are glowing red. However, neither of the burners (if that is the correct term) actually ignite.
I’ve read other posts and online sources, and I’ve seen answers/tips that conflict with each other. Some say I should replace both ignitors; some say I should replace the safety valve; and some say I should replace the control panel.
I’ve used this site to repair both my dishwasher and my refrigerator, so I trust the advice on here the most. Is there one component that is most likely to have failed? If not, what is the best way to test these components - as in, what is the correct order to test for continuity and voltage.
