I have read several posts about this topic but before I order parts I thought I would try to confirm. The dryer has no heat at all but spins. I checked the air flow and there is no blockage. the timer moves on the high heat cycle but does not move on the automatic dry miser heat cycle. there is no glow when looking through the small hole in the front. I was thinking I need to replace the coils. Parts 13 and 14 on diagram. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance.

You do not need coils!!! Unplug the dryer, and then take the back panel off the dryer, and in the middle close to the bottom you will see a white thin part, about an inch and a half long, by a half inch wide. It will have 2 wires coming to it, and be held in by one screw. Take the 2 wires off of it, and put the terminal ends together, and then put some tape around it, to keep them together, and to be sure you cover the terminals with tape well, because you do not want the termminals to hit metal. Then plug it in, and see if it works. If so, DO NOT RUN the dryer like that. That thermal fuse is a saftey. It is the only thing perventing the dryer from burning down the house. I’ll give it a try.
I tried it out and there is a glow for about 10 seconds and then it goes out. If i shut if off and try it again it glows again but only for a short time.
Replace the coils!!!
Thanks Tom!
how embaressing… i forgot to turn the gas back on. Tried the doing what you said tom and it fired right up. I assume i just need to replace the fuse right?
