No Power - Fridgeaire Side by Side

Yesterday afternoon I went to open up the fridge and the unit lost all power. I shut the door and about ten seconds later the power started flickering back on to the fridge and after about 5 seconds of flickering it started running again.

This morning we woke up with no power to it. So far I have unplugged it and plugged it back in and there is still no power. All power lost - no light etc…

I’m decently handy, can use a DMM and would like to try and repair if possible. My inclination is that I have an issue somewhere in the power supply.

Hello, Murphy.

First of all you should check the power supply to the refrigerator. Plug it in a different outlet that you know for sure is good. If it still not working, check the power cord and it’s connection. Pull out and open the lightning control box to check for obvious burt marks (at the rear inside the compressor compartment). Let me know, please what you will find.
