I have a GE Truetemp oven that has not been used in about four years that I recently took out of storage and began using. The self-clean feature worked fine, but now when I bake it does not seem to bake at the correct temperature. Everything takes longer to bake, and I just bought a new bake element for the oven and no difference. upon searching the site, nothing comes back for "thermostat" but is the "Sensor Assembly" the possible culprit?
Thanks,
Tracy
Tracy,
Before we can proceed further we have to know what is the difference between the set and the real temperature.
Place a good, reliable oven thermometer in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 350°F. Wait about 10 minutes after the oven preheated then open the door and see what the thermometer shows. Post the results.

Looks like there is nothing wrong with the oven temperature. In most cases the oven has to be preheated properly before you put food in. It might be the cause of the problem.
