Woke up this morning and figured I would cook some biscuits for breakfest, Guess what the oven wont heat up!
All the eyse still work, the Broiler still works the control panel isnt doing anything weird its all working fine.
Im pretty good at this kind of stuff as im an Autotech by trade and love Trouble shooting any type of problem!! Ive done some testing and here are my resluts, If anyone can see anything wrong please help!!
At the Element Im only getting about 40 volts from wire to wire, Thats with the element still connected, Would it matter if it was unpluged? I think I need atleast 220 there is this right??
The element is showing no burn marks and is ohming form end to end around 19 ohms. I can go from one terminal on the element and run my lead all across the element and get nothing from both sides, so its not like the element has shorted out inside.
It was working great lastnight for about 2 hours becasue the ole lady cooked about 4 dozen cookies. Anyone have any other ideas on some test I can do? I know I need to get to the control unit and figure where my power loss is coming from and not going to the oven but do these have any kind of sensor that would keep the oven from turning on?
Thanks
Jason
