Not sure of age of range. Oven igniter comes on will after what seems to be a long time them goes out very fast igniter stays on can smell gas after a while

The bake igniter is the culprit. This igniter should draw 3.2 amps and then ignite the gas. Over time the igniter gets weak and doesn’t draw enough amps to open the valve. It’s a very straight forward repair. Two screws and a plug and play type connection. The part number you need is, AP4012072.
