Overload/relay wireing?

I put on a new overload relay on the compressor. the compressor wiring his basically triangle shaped three contacts. One on the Bottom which is Common And a BLue wire goes to it. The other two contacts are I think start and run and these are on top. The problem I am having is that the compressor starts and runs with the two top wires hooked up to it either way One is a white wire and the other is two orange wires hooked together or a double orange wire orange. I know blue wire goes on bottom I think that start is the contact to the left side of the top two contacts and this contact is located towards the front of the fridge. and then the run would be to the right of the left contact, located towards the back of the fridge closest to the access hole. I hooked up the white wire to the front contact the double orange wire to the contact towards the back. Compressor ran checked with amp meter and all three wires were drawring around 1.8 amps. Compressor ran and cooled the freezer and refrigerator, and also compressor did cycle off and cycle back on. NOw according to the instrucitions I am suppose to put the double orange wire on the contact that is towards the front and the double WHITE towards the back, so I did this too and fridge is currently wired this way. And with the amp meter connected the wires draw about .08 for each wire. And the compressor cools the freezer and the refrigerator, But I have not been able to hear the compressor to cycle off. So compressor still running after 10 hours or so What is the correct way to hook up these to two wire the double orange and the white does any body know please help thank you
