I used the dryer yesterday, did one load, put a second load in, turned the dryer on. I checked on the dryer an hour later and the clothes were still wet. Almost as wet as when I put them in the dryer. I know the dryer turned on. I checked the vent to make sure it was clean, checked the filter and it was clean. The GE gas dryer is only 18 months old. It is used once or twice a week. What do you think is wrong?? Thanks…jc
If you’re getting heat, the only other thing that would cause long drying times is bad air flow. Check the vent outside the house. The air flow there needs to be as strong as the air flow right out the back of the dryer.

Thanks for responding.
The vent is NOT clogged and WAS flowing very strong. The filter is very clean. The dryer will not turn on. The electrical connection is fine. I set the timer, twisted the start knob and nothing happens. The dryer WILL NOT turn on. Air flow is not the problem…jc
