Good morning All,
I’m working with an Electrolux ICON E23BC78IPSB.
Here’s the story, while using the ice maker it made an unusual noise and the entire fridge went dead. Assuming it was the breaker it was checked and verified not be. Further review concluded that the ice maker froze up, impeded the fan, thawed ice, refroze the ice into large chunks, and the auger routed large chunks of ice through the ice maker and ripped the thermistor apart.
I have replaced the ice maker components and i still have no power to the entire fridge. My assumption is that the thermistor being ripped apart shorted and damaged a board. My dilemma now is which one. None show any visual evidence of a failure. So my thinking is its the main power board (242115233) or the interface control board (242041120).
Any advice on which it could be or how to more definitively diagnose this? The boards are pricey and i don’t want to buy the wrong one if i don’t have to, not to mention the down time with my two kids that eat like rabid animals
Thanks!
