When troubleshooting a light problem on this microwave I pushed the two door latches in to see if the light would work. I then managed to pull the latches back out to what I think is their original position. But now, when I try to use the microwave, the door seems to close okay, but when I press start the "door" message appears and the microwave won’t start.
Thanks Gene, and for being so quick on a Friday late afternoon. I’ll give your solution a shot.
Next question then is how to get at the 20amp fuse behind the control panel? Can I just pull the whole combo unit partially out to get at it? Any instructions on pulling it out?
Same problem with my Whirlpool combo. My model # is GMC305PRS01. I also made a same mistake of pushing latches in and pulling back out. May be 20 amp fuse is blown as mentioned in your note. Did you get instruction on how to get to fuse. Instruction on the link is from Kitchen aid combo not Whirlpool. Thanks
I have the same problem without doing anything to the latch. The 20A fuse read zero resistance. I supposed the fuse is OK. What else should I check? Mine is GMC275PDB07.
