Refrig keeps running

Wife left the freezer open and there was a lot of condensate in it. I emptied everything out, wiped it down (even taking the back off to wipe stuff in the evaporator area) and reassembled. Turned it back on at it just kept running. It got to below zero F in the freezer. I did turn it back off, waited a minute and then turned it back on and the compressor has not kicked in. I don’t know if it needed a reset or there is something wrong.

I think I need a new thermostat, but could not find it in your parts area (by the way, nice parts area).

I found the defrost thermostat, but not the thermostat assembly, which I would think would be somewhere in the evap & freezer control assy.

Thanks for the help

If your wife left the door open, the compressor is so hot it could fry an egg. The best thing you can do is unplug the refrigerator for about three hours, and then turn it on. That compressor needs some time to cool down. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com

There you have it. That is the way to save the cash. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com
