Water was leaking out of the front of the dishwasher. I removed the lower panel and saw that water was coming out of the motor assembly. I removed the lower panel. I shut off the power to the dishwasher, shut off and removed the supply line, removed the drain hose and pulled the dishwasher out from under the counter. I removed the grounding wire and the four mounting screws on the motor assembly. The motor was loose and could rotate but will not come out. I have tried to remove the spray arm from the inside of the dishwasher but, there is no nut to loosen the assembly. I don’t want to bust that off and have two things to repair so I am posting here. How do I get this pump/motor assembly off the bottom of the dishwasher? Do I have to release something inside the housing? Any clues to this puzzle would be greatly appreciated.
