replace bake element

for Whirlpool WOS 51 EC 27 inch wall oven, can bake element be replaced entirely by removing back panel, or must a side panel be removed also? Whirlpool cust svc, parts, repair could not answer this question.

On phone internet and can’t look at diagram but…

When you unscrew the element from inside the oven see if you can pull it out a couple of inches. Usually there is enough slack in the wire that you can change without back panel access at all. Just be careful that it’s unplugged and not to pull the wire off the element by tugging too hard.

Thanx for your help. This Whirlpool has "hidden bake" which is an oven floor that completely blocks heat element when approached from front. I learn internet that GE oven with "hidden bake" must have BOTH rear panel and left panel removed to reach bake element from back. Oven sticks into my garage and left panel is not acessable unless oven is removed from wall. You tube shows a LG and a Samsung where job can be done entirely from back panel. Old Kenmores, maybe whirlpools had two screws in rear of "hidden bake" floor but this model seems like floor is integral with sides.

You take off the back service panel, and the left and right panels and insulation. Remove the tray bleow the bake element. THen you can get at the bake element.
