My GE slide-in range is 15 years old. Yesterday I got an F1 code along with an annoying buzzer. Everything points to a problem with the ERC (Clock).
On your website, I found the errors codes and instructions on how to tell if the problem is the Clock or the Touch Panel. I disconnected the ribbon to the touch panel, and Voila!, the buzzing stopped - but I have no oven controls. At least I still have burners for cooking.
I know the problem is the touch panel, but I fear that the clock and touch panel are one unit in this model. I would like confirmation that that is the case before I spent the money ($200) on the replacement assembly.
The part I found is AP2025145 (which I believe is GE part WB27K5140).
Question: For this model oven, can I replace the touch panel only, or is it a single assmbly with the clock? Do I have the correct part number?
Thank you,
Stephanie
