I have a KitchenAid double oven with the 3 & 7 buttons not working. I probably need to replace the control panel or possibly clean contacts…
Can someone help me with how it comes apart to service…
Of course you can try to clean the ribbon (using an eraser), but the rate of success in my experience is less than 15%.
The part is very expensive but still much less than a new oven.

KitchenAid KEBS208DBS6 part #4448871
Found a company that repairs the control board which fries after completion of self clean (really bad design!). Thermal fuse tested ok, but I can’t seem to remove the ribbon to get to the control board out. Please HELP!!
First let me say thank you for reponding to my email!
I was able to remove the ribbon harness and all the plastic wire tabs.
However, the ribbon separated from the plastic tab, which I hope I’ll be able to fix/reset once I replace the control panel. After reading the thread on this issue, I’m tempted to re-assemble everything, as the board looks clean to me–no apparent damage or broken filament fuse, etc. Perhaps the cut off/dead panel occured for some other reason? Someone suggested perhaps a fuse or cut off between the power source and conversion from the 220 to the 5 or whatever amp to the control board because of the heat/temp after the self clean process? Apparently there is a company that fixes/tests these boards, but I have to mail it to them for their assessment. Again, much appreciation for your reply.
Hi, I have the f2e0 message showing on my kitchenaid gas stove. I’m having trouble removing the front panel so that I can try trouble shooting the control panel. I’ve removed the screws and the front panel is loose when I pull from the bottom but once I pull it up over the 4 exposed metal pieces it seems to still be stuck on the sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cory
Hi Cory,
What is the complete model number of the stove?
Gene.
Hi Gene,
The model number is KGSA906. I also see the numbers 9762266 on the user guide…not sure if that means anything. Cory
Cory,
The model number you posted is incomplete. You can find it on the oven door frame or on the frame behind the bottom drawer. Verify and repost it please.

Hi Gene,
I was able to find the model number KGRA806PSS01. Thanks, Cory
Hi Cory,
Sorry for the delay.
The instructions are attached.

If you need the correct part number for the membrane switch, post the color of it.

Gene,
Thanks so much for the info! Cory
You are welcome Cory. Keep us posted.

I a searching for a part for my double wall oven, model KEBS247DWH8, the part I need is 8300386, the control panel with membrane. I am having the problem of the error that says that the connection between the membrane and the control board has gone bad. I have not been able to find anyone who carries the replacement part. Is there anything I can try?
Unfortunately this part is no longer available and no authorized substitutions have been identified.
Gene.
Just to add to Gene’s excellent response.
My model required that I first remove the side panels (4 screws on the back of the stove). This exposes the screws (2 per side) of the top side brackets. After removing those screws and brackets, the end cap screws are exposed.
So these steps go between steps 5a and 5b in the Word doc in this thread.
