Replacing Thermal Cut-out in Kitchenaid

I have a Kitchenaid Superba KGST307HBS9 gas oven. The ambient fan (supposed to cool the control board when oven is hot) runs continuously, never stopping. From time to time it causes a weird whining high-pitched noise that I cannot isolate.

I have figured out that the fan runs continuously because a thermal cut-out switch is busted. The thermal cut-out switch is PN AP3067392 according to appliance parts pro, see http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=3067392. This part is listed as "Bi-Met SW Fan N.O." on the schematic on the back of the oven.

I cannot figure out where the switch is located, how to access it, how to put in the new part. I want to make sure I’m comfortable with this before I order the part to do it myself. Can someone tell me where this part is located and how to do the replacement so I can decide where to do it myself or to call a service tech?

thanks,
