In the last few months it is taking several cycles to dry a load of clothes. Yesterday while in the middle of a cycle it shut off and has not come back on since. My husband checked the breaker. Please help.

Best way to check for power is with a meter.
L1 to L2 = 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral = 120 volts
Try shutting the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Could be that the thermal fuse has blown, Item 23 in "Section 3"
Unplug the unit and check it with a meter, should be 0 ohms.
OR
The jiggery pokery method
Unplug the unit
Short the two wires to the fuse together
Tape them up so they cannot short to anything else.
Plug it in and give it a try
If it runs, replace the fuse ASAP as it is a critical safety device.
Also clean/check your vent system as this is the most common cause for having to use multiple cycles and for the fuse blowing.
Also clean/check the blower wheel.
Make sure your lint screen is not coated with fabric softener residue.
