Roper Washer - Lid Switch Adjustment

If I gently lower the lid the machine does not run. If I drop the lid from 6 or so inches and let it ‘slam’ the machine starts fine.

My sense is that a small adjustment may fix this. Can I do this without taking the machine apart?

[SIZE=3]The lid switch is wore out and needs replacing. If you don’t eventually it will not work at all. [/SIZE]
