Our Samsung side by side ice and water dispenser stopped working a few months ago. The control functions on the door stopped working as well. The lights for the controls on the door are lit, but don’t change position when the control buttons are pressed. The ice maker is still working although the ice is being broken into little pieces as it’s dispensed into the ice bin. Most of the ice at the bottom of the ice bin is frozen into one solid piece.
I am thinking I have a couple things going on. The main issue being the door dispenser for ice and water not working, possibly a main circuit board issue? The ice maker problem I am assuming is that unit itself, although I don’t know why most of the ice is solid in the bottom of the bin, unless water is leaking out of the ice maker as it fills the trays.
I appreciate any words of wisdom you can pass along.
