samsung rb2055sw not displaying correct temp and not cooling properly

I have a samsung rb2055sw refrigerator where the temperature display on the front panel stays at the target temperature (both fresh food and freezer) even as the temperatures in the compartments rise. Consequently the compressor will not kick-in. After unplugging and plugging the cord the correct (higher) temperatures are displayed on reset and the compressor kicks-in and cools both compartments until the target temperature is hit and the compressor shuts off again. It also seems like the temperature on the front panel (decreases) somewhat faster than the actual temperature inside the unit.

I turned the unit off for 30 minutes as I understand that will effect a hard reset, but still no luck. I also pressed the two power freeze buttons simultaneously to get the diag codes, which appear to be zero.

I’m suspecting either the main control board - PBA M (Samsung part AP4141488), the senso (Samsung part AP4138824) and/or the defrost temperature sensor (Samsung part AP4136842).

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Ed

Similar problems and read through most of the posts and concluded that the control board needs to be replaced. Consensus is to remove and replace in reverse order. Does anything on the board, once installed, need to be tweeked? Is it a simple "Plug and Play?"
