Samsung Refrigator quit on me

The refrigerator temp panel reads freezer -4 fridge 38 but these are not the real temperatures. If I un plug it and plug it back in the correct current temperature reading comes on the screen and the compressor starts. The Repair man said that it needed the main control panel and he wanted $325 to fix it.
I bought the control panel and installed it - but no change. Talked to my neighbor who is retired appliance repair man and he said it might be the "Relay" on the compressor.

Any other ideas or do you think he might be right?

Forgot that the repair man said that maybe I got a bad board. I bought it here. Do you guys think maybe that is my problem? I didn’t think so simply because I have exactly the same problem before the new board as after it was installed.
But since I have not gotten a reply to this question I got to thinking maybe that is the problem. Or maybe you guys just think Samsung is junk. Don’t know.
