I have 3 yr old Samsung side by side. symptom is sporadic. Freezer stops cooling, refigerator running a bit warmer. In freeze section top, temp is warm, lower shelves cold.
Have had repair guy out in past three times - with them scratching their heads while we write checks… 
Once was able to unplug and replug unit power and it would work. Like rebooting computer.
HELP!, repairs guys cost too much and seem to not know what to do??.
This is about the fifth time this has occurred. Four days ago the ice maker stopped working - ie no water will dispense with new filter. Now freezer not cold…
Trying to figure out to bail on whole unit…essentially new from Costco about 3.5 years ago.
Am mechanically inclined but not sure I just want to order new board if another relay or something(s) is also combining to sporadic failure. The failures are about every4 to 6 months.?

ps, this time power up and down is not fixing the issue…
