Just moved into a new house and trying to clean our previous owners scum around stove.
Gently lifted the fan switch to clean across stovetop and accidentally swiped the fan switch assy with wet paper towel. With a zap & a puff, the fan switch stopped working.
Easy enough repair to unscrew and replace fan switch. Problem is I think it went further down the "electrical chain" because the burner ignition isn’t working either - gets gas and can be lit with match - but no click click of ignition.
Will replacing the fan switch alone do or what else should be replaced?
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!
