Side by Side not staying cool

We have a side by side refrigerator that isn’t staying cool. About 2 months ago, we had the same problem and were told that the element and the thermostat needed to be replaced. We bought the parts and replaced the old ones. Since then, we haven’t had any problems…until now. It is starting all over again. Didn’t notice it until the ice cream started getting a little soft. Could this model have a specific problem with faulty elements and thermostats? Could it be where/how the fridge is placed (i.e., not enough ventilation in the back or something)? Is there another part that could cause this problem but not show after replacing the thermostat and element? I could really use some help on this one. Thanks!

I would remove the cover in the back of the fridg. Remove the 4 pin power connector on the bottom of the pc board and notice which connector pins mate with the board pins marked line and def. I would place a jumper between the connector mating pins. If it now defrosts, replace the motherboard AP4297272. Verify with this parts site to confirm this is the right board.

I don’t see a 4 pin connector on the back of the refrigerator. Can you tell me what it would look like? I have 1-3pin connector and 1-5 pin connector and then the others have many more pins.

Sorry, it’s a 3 pin connector with a gray plug, only power connector there.
