My washer is very slow to fill on the cold water side, the hot side is fine. I have moved the washer and checked the water flow from the hoses to the washer is is OK. Checked where the hoses connect to the washer there are screens and they are clear. That makes me think that it is the valve that lets the water into the washer is not working like it should. OK, what do I have to do to get to that valve to replace it?
It looks like I have to take the washer completely apart to get to it. Please tell me there is a easy way of fixing this. if not wat do I have to remove to get to it.
Thanks
It is definitely that fill valve that has gone bad - there will be two screws holding the top control panel on. after the two screws are removed the control panel will flip up. you will then see two brass clips - you will need to have a flathead screwdriver or philips and pry the clips off until they pop up (hard to explain but the correct positioning of the screwdriver would have the handle end facing the back of the washer). the entire frame will then pull toward you exposing the insides (guts) of the washer. after the frame is moved out of the way you can easily get to the fill valve to replace.
No problem - keep me posted and if you have any problems just let me know and i’ll try to explain better
That took care of that problem. Now I have to fix the dryer keeps blowing out the upper thermostat. I have a post on the dryer side.
Thank you again for your help:D
