The soap dispenser does not open during the wash cycle. What needs repalcement - the control unit (regualtor board or the soap dispenser itself. I checked the soap dispenser to see the catch release is operable and it is. Can you help?
My Maytag clothes dryer is shutting down on overtemp. The overtemp thermal is acting as it should and I did reluctantly replace it with no success. The gas valve coils are also new. I can keep the dryer heating if I jump out the thermal but I obviously would never do that as a patch. The dryer is wide open with the vent pipe disconnected. I can find no blockages and the blower is running. I can actually smell the excessive heat and the themal trips and resets, each time a bit shorter due to the lack of cooling time. Could my gas valve be defective? Too much flame? The entire assembly looks good with nothing rotted. Sorry for the lengthy post, just wanted to give as much detail as possible.
