My soap dispenser door will not pop open once the latch releases during the cycle. I have replaced the spring (which didn’t appear to be broken or bent) and now Whirlpool is suggestiong I replace the Lid Assembly (door) and the Lid Hinge Pin. However, they provide no instructions as to how to do so and which way the spring should be installed. I am looking for installation instructions and possibly some other ideas as to what may be wrong.
