I need help with our Samsung washer. the other day my wife put a comforter in the washer. When it got to the spin cycle the machine started pounding out of balance and there was a burning rubber smell. so she shut it off. now every time we use the machine it pounds like it is out of balance on the spin cycle and the faint smell of rubber. This time there were ribbons of rubber I determined came from the inner lip of the boot at the front of the tub and front of machine. no holes threw the boot though.
After watching the video on your web site. I took the machine apart to inspect the boot it seems fine except for those ribbons of rubber from the inner area that goes over the rim. the inner tub seems tight, I checked in three places and reefed on the tub with no slop. how ever, the outer tub seems to move side to side quite easily. could the shocks be bad or do you suspect something far worse? thanks in advance
