I’ve got a Samsung WF419AAW/XXA washer that’s been leaving the clothes wetter than normal. I finally noticed that the there’s a lot of vibration/thumping during the spin cycle. I think this is causing the washer to to end the spin prematurely.
From researching, it looks like I need a new drum/bearing assembly. Hence, a couple of questions:
Before I spend over $200, can I be pretty sure that this is the problem? Is there anything else I should check? I saw mentioned a VRT ring??? Also, I’m a DIY kind of guy. I’ve fixed many appliances like motors and pumps in my dishwasher, old clothes washer and dryer.
Is this something I could tackle? One website gives it a difficulty of 3 wrenches (out of 4) and I can’t find much info on the repair.
Is it even worth fixing? It’s got around 600 washes under it’s belt.
Thanks!
