[FONT=Trebuchet MS]Washer works part of the way through.
My wife describes the problem this way: Washer fills, agitates, drains, begins to fill for the rinse and 3/4 of the way through the rinse fill it stops. She has turned it off, spun it all the way and put it back and it worked. Shes scooted it forward a hair, and it worked.
Have we got a defective timer that is sticking? Should I try this on another wash option instead of the regular wash cycle? I’ve recently had some repairs on water lines and cleaned some screens on faucets, could it be a matter of a plugged inlet screen and it times out on the coldwater fill?
Sounds like a timer to me. Unless you run out of cold water. Since you move it a hair, and then it works, sounds like a dead spot on the timer. Has your wife tried it in another cycle to see if it works? If she has, and it does the same thing, it could very well be the water valve, because the solonoid on the cold side could be getting weak, and cutting off. When that happens, have your wife immediatley turn the timer to the normal fill cycle in the begining of the wash, and select cold water. If it comes in, then replace the timer.
