Sorry. The Model is Whirlpool Built In Electric Oven RBS305 PDQ10

Most likely the problem is a bad door hinge (maybe both hinges).

Remove the door as described in the [AP3080711](http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%204450568.pdf"]Owners manual (page 13).

Put the door on a flat surface with the door handle facing down. Remove the screws holding the inner door liner and remove the liner. Follow the break down diagram.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?diagram_id=109809&&model_id=263110

OK Gene…after your help with my dishwasher earlier this year I am ready to order the hinges. I assume I order two. (They do not come in pairs I beleive) Another question before I order the hinges. The light used to go off if I wiggled the door shut…now it never goes off and I can’t figure out where the "switch" or the sensor is in the oven. Any help here would br much appreciated. Heymate

The manual says to insert door removal pins in a hole. I see nowhere I could put these ?? Sorry to be a dummy. :frowning:

Hi Gene…I ordered and replaced both hinges and the door closed perfectly…for a couple of weeks and now the original problem is back (not closing all the way) I removed the door and made sure that the hinges were solidly seated…they were. Could those springs wear out that fast…I am baffled…sorry to be a pest. ???

I understand your feelings. Unfortunately the problem becomes more complicated. You have to check the hinge receptacles (#3 on the diagram) and in order to do it you have to remove the oven from the cabinet and remove the side panels.

Gene.

I am having the same problem…how did you resolve this issue??? Should I keep dumping money into the oven? My Whirlpool appliance repairman loves me! HE said Whirlpool told him there were issues with the hinges…I called Whirlpool and they didn’t have any record of hinge issues for this model???

I am planning on ordering the hinge receptacles. working on the oven has been very easy with the help of Gene here on the forum.Like all things we don’t do every day, projects like this have to be approached with the right attitude and I try not to be in a hurry! Good luck with yours stacsor!

I\Ordered the hings receptacles…quite a job but I took my time…the only challenge was that the door hit the oven door latch so I bent it a little and all is well. As always…Thanks Gene!
