Timer not advancing

I have a GE Large capacity heavy duty dryer approximately 4 years old .
I recently moved and had to have the landlords maintenance person replace the cord to fit the new 220 outlet . The timer does not advance , I didn’t notice until I had almost burnt up my clothes on a low heat cycle.
Is this something that could have happened when the dryer was moved , soemthing that was eventually bound to happen or is this the result of the dryer cord not being properly installed ??

It does not move at all. Tried 2 different settings .

oven/broiler does not light, replaced ignitor with no results. Is the gas valve the problem?

Hello, This is my first time using your site and thank you by the way for this site. I was doing a load of laundry and my washing machine starting makeing a noise like something was dragging or rubbing. It wasn’t shakeing like it was out of balance, it also had a smell like something was burning or getting hot. The motor runs, but the tub will not spin. I took the aggitator out but that did not tell me anything. Help…

Remove the front panel. Remove the belts and inspect them. Check how freely is the pump moving. Post the results.

Hi Gene, Thank You for responding so quickly. I see no screws, are there metal clips that hold the front on down at the bottom?

There is a screw on each side on the bottom of the front panel (#15 on the diagram).

I had a leaky water injector. The symptom was small amounts of water dripping down the back of the washer to the floor. By inspecting with a hand mirror I found a crack in the lower surface of the plastic injector. My temporary fix was silicone sealant topped with two layers of duct tapeshingle fashion to direct the leak into the tub rather than to the back of the machine. I found the required part thanks to Applicance Parts Pros. When the part got here I had to again look to APP and this forum for a link to the service manual. With the service manual I was able to learn how to take off the front, open the top, and open the control panel for access to take out the old part and install the replacement. It all wlrked smoothly. Thanks so much for your help. Ken,

Well, you are very welcome. You do all the work and we get nice compliments.

Glad that worked out and thanks for taking the time to post.
