Two Questions... 1. Door Lock and 2. Finding Model Number

I have 2 questions …

  1. I have a Kenmore front loader washer that I bought second hand and the sticker for the model number is 95% gone. Anywhere else on the machine to get a model number?

  2. I need to replace the door lock switch(It reads under 1500ohms), the part # is 1317632, is 131763202 the same part?

If you will post a picture of the control panel we may be able to identify the model and help you out.

If you will call the APP parts operations they may be able to tell you if you are getting the right part. Those of us who respond in this Forum are volunteers and not connected with the parts operations.

Ok, what you have here is a Frigidaire Affinity model sold under the Kenmore brand name.

Here is a link to a service manual for an older version of this model, but it should be very close to what you have.

Again, the APP parts operations should be able to help you get the right parts. See if there are tech notes inside the lower service panel, they will also help you with getting the right part.
