My washer agitates and drains. However, it does not spin, therefore it leaves the clothes very wet. The machine makes noise during the spin cycle, however, the basket does not physically spin to remove the excess water. Does anyone know why this is or have any suggestions?
The clutch is the likely suspect. This site will show you how to replace it.

On the way to check it observe the drive block and make sure it is ok. If it is, move on the replacing the clutch.
