washer is wet and screaming

Hey all. Looking for some advice.
My washing machine has been EXTREMELY loud during spin cycle. You need to scream over the sound of it. There are also random clicks and sqweeks during agitation. A couple days ago the tub seal began to leak. Transmission? Bearing?
Also, I am attempting to take the unit apart to familiarize myself with it. I have the cabinet dismantled and the trunion bolts removed but can’t seem to remove the inner tub. Any tricks to this?
Final question. Is this type of unit even worth servicing?

These are good, and expensive units so it is definitely worth while to try and fix it.

see if that won’t help you dismantle it. However if you do determine that it is a major component that is the problem then you may want to replace it.

I have taken all the step listed but can’t seem to get the tub off of the trunion . Guess I’ll hit it with some penetrating oil.

Darn, not a good sign.Your problem may be rust from the leak that has welded itself. Not good, probably suggests a lot of water damage and may mean a new machine. Darn
