The washer works great except when it comes to the spin cycle. Then it spins ok but makes a very loud noise.
Hard to say without being there to hear the noise. It could be something caught between the tub and basket, so check that out but more likely the problem is with the hub assembly or with the transmission.
Just hard to tell without being able to hear it and get an approximate location of where it is coming from.
A good way to get further info is to operate the machine with the cabinet off. You will need to by-pass the lid switch.
