Washer noisy during spin cycle

I have a Kenmore HE3T washer.
It has started making a loud rattling noise during the spin cycle.
It gets worse at higher RPM.
It sounds like something is between the inner and outer drum. I can not see anything. How can I check this?
Is this a bearing going bad?

Please help, the noise is driving me crazy.

thanks,

I would pull off the spin basket drive belt and turn the basket by hand to verify something in the tub. If so, I would remove the drain hose from the bottom of the tub and feel for something in there, if not, you might have a busted spider arm that supports the spin basket, eventually, this will punch a hole in the tub if not fixed.

First of all, thank you for your response.
There is nothing in the outer drum that I can see or feel. I spin the drum manually and really do not here anything rattling around. Every now and then I can here something shift. It sounds like it is in the back of the outer drum. Is that were the spider arm is?

How do you get to it to replace and/or fix?

thanks.
