We have an Amana Commercial Washer Model # ALW880QAC that I bought new about 9 years ago.
I was doing a normal load of laundry and when it got to the drain and spin cycle it stopped. We checked the [AP4048391](http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/ctrfs.aspx?part_id=4036191&&model_id=22200&diagram_id=629099"]Pump[/URL]
AP4036191Part Number: and found some batting from a dog bed in the pump from a previous load and removed it. we reassembled hoping this would fix the problem, it did NOT, the tub partially drained and again stopped draining. We then manually drained the water from the tub.
The washer runs and sounds fine in the wash cycle but when we turn the dial to the spin / drain cycle it will not drain and we hear a very extremely loud clicking noise.
When in the spin cycle the
Helix, plastic
AP4048273Part Number: does not suck up to the
Pulley, spin/agit (710 rpm)
Part Number: [URL="http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/ctrfs.aspx?part_id=4048391&&model_id=22200&diagram_id=655203)
like it does in the wash cycle and we are not sure where the load clicking noise is coming from. We did replace the worn belt with the proper belt for this machine.
Can someone direct us to the problem so we may purchase the correct part to fix our washer.
Perform the troubleshooting as described in the Service manual.
