Wouldn’t spin or agitate, replaced motor starter and now spins but at agitation, starter is clicking 6-8 times like signal, then stop, then sig, then stop. Then just shuts down:eek: . No wiring diagram? 7 children and clothes. What needs to be replaced?
You need to determine if the problem is in the timer or the transmission.
I would take off the front and take off the belt and see if the transmission will turn easily. Then run the machine through a cycle and see if the motor is turning when the machine should be agitating.
If the motor is not turning the problem is likely in the timer or the wiring, if it will turn and the transmission will not turn the problem is like there.
When you say motor starter I assume you are talking about the switch. The manual has wiring diagrams of both the switch and the machine so you can check that out. I would also take the connections off at both the motor and timer and clean then thoroughly with contact cleaner and reseat them. That might fix it for you.
Here is a service manual if you do not have one for your model.
