Washer will agitate and has trouble spinning

Timer stops when washer gets to spin cycle. When opening and closing door washer will then complete its cycle. I thought it may be the safety switch on the door. I removed and jumpered that switch. Before installing the jumper I sprayed the contacts with contact cleaner to insure a good connection.

The washer timer still stops at the spin cycle. If I push in the timer switch and pull it back out again (turning the washer off and on) it will operate normally through the spin cycle. Is this dirty contacts on the timer itself? Or is something else going on at this point that should be checked?

Hello. It sounds like a lid switch , yet if you have jumped it out and it still does not work you have a bad thrust bearingAP4009132 I sent you a file to explain how this works Thank you and good luck !

Sorry for putting my two cents, but it’s sounds like you have a bad timer there. Probably you should try the timer first. You can return unused parts if you get them from APP.
