my ge washer just stopped draining. I have changed the pump and still wont work. I checked the lid switch and it is ok. I guess the next thing is the timer(plastic case) but I dont know how to check it to see if it is bad. I dont want to spend more money on it if it is not the timer. any sugestions?
Hi.
Have you checked the pump inlet and drain hoses for possible restrictions?
Is there a 120vac to the drain pump when timer is set to drain and spin?
Please post the results.

Simon yes I’ve checked both the inlet and drain hoses for obstructions, they were clear. as for the 120vac? how do you check,I have a multi meter but very knowledable at using it. I also found a ground wire broke that attached to the moter bracket fixed it but still not working.

OK i’ve checked the vac at the pump and it reads 55.8. does that mean that the timer is bad?
Hi.
If you are sure that the lid switch is OK than most likely it’s the timer.
