My washer fills but after filling, it will not advance to the wash cycle. It sits there idle. I can manually move the dial to spin and it will empty and spin. On the advice of a repair person, I replaced the timer I received from your website, but the problem remains. I’ve evaluated the agitator dogs and they do need to be replaced. Are the dogs the cause of the "advancement" problem or is there a deeper issue? HELP! Thank you.
The agitator dogs have nothing to do with it. So, after washer stops filling, it does not go into agitation. Does the timer knob continue advancing even though the washer is not agitating? If not, then I think you have a faulty load sense switch which is your front panel fabric softener switch. If timer knob does advance, then it’s a faulty wash action switch.

Thanks Eric. The knob does not advance, so I’ll try replacing the load sense switch.
