When washing, the agitator will not spin and makes a loud grinding noise. I turned it to spin and the water empties fine and spins. Any help?
Remove the 1/4 inch screw near the bottom of the agitator, pull the agitator off, and see if the tranny spindle agitates during wash. If not, you have a bad tranny.
