Washer won't drain

:mad: My washer will not drain. It will wash and then just stop. Will not drain. Ive unplugged it and waited a few minutes and tried again, no succes. I also scooped most of the water out and removed the clothing to see if it would spin, but no.

Also, when you close the lid, there is no clicking noise anymore to indicate that it is closed.

Could I save this washer by replacing the pump, or does it sound like more to it?

If I can do it myself, can you give me any direction as Ive never worked on a washer myself.

I pulled the lid switch out slightly (after unscrewing it) and it seems the contacption is seperating slighty. When i hold it shut, the turn power on, it drains and spins. YAY! so i put some gorilla glue on it and duct tape on the sides on top of that.

Do you think this will be ok or should I still replace it? If replace, can you please advise as to the correct part no. as the one i just looked up on your site does not look the same, but hard to tell.
