My GE washer won’t spin or agitate. It fills up and drains water. I am so scared that it is going to be the transmission has gone bad. I called a washer repair man who said that he could not fix my washer because it was a newer brand and front load that he was very unfamiliar with. The motor is still working great and all of the belts are still brand new and in tact. GE is charging me $80 just to come out and look at my washer and most of the parts are extremely expensive. Are there any other suggestions other than get another washer? How would I know if the transmission was out?
