washer wont spin

[LEFT][COLOR=#000000][LEFT][COLOR=#000000]I have a problem with my washer machine, it does agitate and drain the water, but does not spin. I checked the belt and is good.When the machine hit the spin cycle you can hear the water pump and the motor working even though that motor shaft is no moving at all, but does not spin. After about 5 minutes of listening to the soun(motor, water pump)the motor start getting blazing hot.Please guys i need your help!

I am guessing either the brakes or the transmission is the problem, since the motor is trying to go, and it is really the same thing since the brakes are inside the transmission housing on this model and not repairable as a separate item.

Replacing the transmission is your likely solution.
