Washing Machine Error Code F1E2

Hello, and thank you for reading my post.

I have a Maytag washing machine and it’s giving me an error code of F1E2 "Motor Control Fault"
F2E1 "Stuck Key Error"

Can any one tell me what exactly this could mean?

I have replaced the Main Motor.
I have replaced the Capacitor.
I have replaced the Shift Actuator.

I’ve look over the whole unit. I can not find any burnt wires, or anything out of place. I opened up the top to look at the controller. I couldn’t see ANY signs of a fried board, like capacitors or anything bunt out.

None of the parts I replaced have helped. After the unit if unplugged for a few days, you can get it to go through about 1/2 a load and then it errors out. Then retries will stop almost immediately. It’s funny. ITs like you let it cool down, and forget itself by not being lugged in and then it’s OK for a little bit then WAM!! something happens and it goes down again. That’s the reason for the parts I did replace. Thought maybe they overheated, or the capacitor was not charging up enough… Nope… Still the same outcome.

You press the start button and the unit will lock. And the very first time the until would do a test spin measuring for water and weight and so on, the motor tries to start for a 1/8 or a second, something clicks, and errors out.

Is there anything else I can look for? Something? Anything? I replaced the parts I felt it should have been, but the only thing that really left is:

The Cam
The gear case
The Main computer Controller.

The fact that I can purchase another model like this one for around $380 there seems no point in thinking about buying a main board for $333.00.

Is there anything else I can try? A censor I can clean off? Anything? I read notes about how when putting in a new computer panel, you need to calibrate the unit. Should I look for instructions on doing that?

I have been told that these washing machines are common since they are build for many brands, so I’m going to assume that the guts in these units not just my model specific in what it’s doing.

Thanks for any help you can offer. Sometimes I wish this was all just still clockwork and gear driven like my old washing machine that last me about 18 years. This one is 2.5 years old and already dead. Such a waste.

I hope someone can help before I have to scrap this one. It would be a total waste of materials that should not be thrown away so soon.

Thanks for your help…

Tom!
